CAT WHEEL
How do I assemble the cat wheel?
Your order will contain instructions on how to assemble Fit 'n' Fun's Ferris Cat Wheel, along with all the parts and tools necessary for assembly.
Is the cat wheel easy to assemble?
Wheel assembly is straightforward but does take time to assemble properly. For tips, please see ZiggyDoo Cat Wheel Boutique’s assembly videos here.
How big is the cat wheel?
Fit 'n' Fun's Ferris Cat Wheel is 56 inches tall and 12.5 inches deep, with an inside diameter of 48 inches and outer diameter of 51 inches. The larger size of the wheel means that it gives your cat plenty of space to move and can even accommodate more than one cat!
Can the cat wheel tip over?
Fit 'n' Fun's Ferris Cat Wheel is constructed with durable materials and a strong foundation. With proper assembly, placement, and maintenance, our wheel will never tip or derail.
Why isn't my cat using the wheel?
A majority of cats take naturally to the wheel over the first week or so; however, inactive or timid cats may be hesitant out of fear or lack of interest. This can be easily remedied with the help of positive reinforcement. See our Tips 'n' Tricks page for pointers on how to create a fun wheel training routine for your pet!
How much training does my cat need to use the cat wheel?
As mentioned, most cats take naturally to Fit 'n' Fun's Ferris Cat Wheel without any help. Training will therefore depend on the nature of your cat, how they respond to the wheel, and the positive reinforcement strategies you use (treats, toys, catnip spray, a laser pointer, verbal praise, etc). For more info, see our Tips 'n' Tricks page.
Is having a cat wheel really necessary?
Cats are natural roamers and hunters, so keeping them active and healthy is vital for their physical and mental wellbeing. Fit 'n' Fun's Ferris Cat Wheel is a perfect outlet for indoor cats, whether they're on the more energetic or idle side. The wheel can also curb any destructive behaviour caused by inactivity, anxiety, and boredom from being indoors.
Can other animals use the cat wheel?
Yes! Fit 'n' Fun's Ferris Cat Wheel can be used by dogs or other animals up to 11.33kg. Note: we recommend consulting with your vet prior to see if the wheel is appropriate for your non-feline animal(s).
Can more than one cat use the wheel?
Absolutely! Fit 'n' Fun's Ferris Cat Wheel has a wider track and diameter, which can fit up to three cats/animals (depending on their overall size/weight/compatibility).
Is the cat wheel suitable for larger cats?
Yes! Fit 'n' Fun's Ferris Cat Wheel can hold up to 11.33kg.
Is the wheel noisy?
Fit 'n' Fun's Ferris Cat Wheel runs smoothly on six skate wheels, which does produce a low-level range of sound. However, this noise is relatively quiet compared to other brands of cat wheels.
WHEEL TILES
What colour tiles does the wheel come in?
The Fit ‘n’ Fun Cat Wheel has four EVA foam pad tile colours to choose from: black, pink, blue, and green (yellow is currently unavailable).
Can I purchase a custom combination of wheel tile colours for my order?
Of course! We offer a custom colour combo option where you can pick two (2) alternating colour tiles (e.g. black/pink, green/blue, pink/green) for an added fee. Please contact us at info@fitnfuncatwheel.com and we’ll see if we have your preferred colours in stock.
How do I put the EVA foam tiles on the wheel?
Start by peeling and placing one of the EVA foam pad tiles onto the wheel (you can use the seam lines on the inside of the wheel as a guide). Then, carefully peel and place the next tile ensuring that it’s flush with the previous tile and repeat. Note: the last tile will need to be trimmed down to fit, so use a tape measure or ruler to determine the dimensions then carefully trim, peel, and apply. (For more help on how to apply the tiles, check out ZiggyDoo Cat Wheel Boutique’s video here.)
Can I replace my EVA tiles?
Absolutely! Make sure to properly remove the old tiles and clean the inside track of the wheel thoroughly before replacing with fresh tiles. Note: these tiles should only be replaced when absolutely necessary (surface scuffs, bite or claw marks on the tile are okay and do not warrant replacing).
How do I clean my tiles?
We recommend cleaning your tiles with slightly soapy water and a sponge or cloth. If you have been using food to encourage your pet(s) to use the wheel, you may find that you have to clean your tiles more often. Note: it is recommended that you let your tiles dry completely before letting your cats back on the wheel.
When should I replace my tiles?
You should only replace your tiles when absolutely necessary, or in the event that you wish to update the colours for your wheel. Surface damage (such as claw/bite marks) are okay, and do not warrant replacing.
How do I remove the tiles?
As the EVA foam tiles are made to adhere to the wheel, they are unfortunately difficult (and messy) to remove. Here are 4 methods for removing old foam tiles & residue:
1. Hair dryer: Wearing protective gloves, use the hot setting of a hair dryer to heat up a small section of tile at a time, then scrape off with a spatula or scraper.
2. Adhesive & glue remover: After scraping off old tiles, apply adhesive and glue remover directly or via cloth to help remove tile remnants. Follow with a spatula, scraper, or scratch-free tough sponge to remove residual adhesive. Ensure all of the glue remover is washed off the wheel panels and that the wheel is completely dry prior to sticking on fresh EVA foam tiles.
3. Soapy boiled water: Wearing protective gloves, submerge the wheel in a bathtub filled with boiled, soapy water. The tiles should slide off as the glue will have softened up. Rotate the wheel to a new section and repeat. If the wheel is too large for your bathtub, disassemble the white panels into quarters or thirds. If you do not have a bathtub, disassemble each panel and soak in a laundry or kitchen sink. Ensure the panels are completely dry and free from residue prior to reassembly and tile placement.
4. Pressure washer: Place the wheel outside on a flat, level surface. Cover wheelbase with plastic, place the wheel back on, and follow the instructions of your chosen pressure washer. Note: this option will make a mess, so be prepared for bits of foam debris to fly everywhere!

I'm from New Zealand – why has my order been delivered to a location that isn't my address?
As delivery to New Zealand requires multiple couriers, you will receive several tracking numbers.
