Replacement G5 EVA Foam Tiles - Set of 12

Overall, the cat wheel is a great product which my cat adores. The foam pads are probably the only weak point. I'm basing my review on the existing pads, as I haven't been able to use the replacement pads yet, because I still can't get the old ones off. The adhesive is very strong and doesn't weaken but the material of the pads becomes brittle with time and when one tries to remove the old pads they do not come off cleanly. Instead, small parts of the mat break off a piece at a time, and not without massive amounts of physical effort and the use of heat and/or chemicals. It's a terrible task to endure at any time, but especially if the reason one is changing the pads is because one's cat urinated or vomited on the original ones - warm cat urine anyone? Surely you can just clean the pads because they're foam right? No need to change them? Well actually, because the foam gets lots of claw marks in it over time, these holes are where the vomit and or urine will settle and become uncleanable. Wanting to change the pads becomes an inevitability. Reaching out to the company, their advice was hire a pressure washer (or an air tasker who owns a pressure washer) to assist one with the removal. This might actually work but I don't think this expectation of customers should be baked into the design. My suggestion is that these foam pads need to be rethought. New material? New adhesive? New method of attachment? I don't know what the answer is, but I know I've spent the same number of hours in effort trying and failing to remove the old pads, that had I been paid for my time, I could have bought an entirely new cat wheel for the money. After weeks of trying different things I've barely made any progress and my cat has been without his favourite wheel the whole time. An extremely frustrating downside to what would otherwise be a perfect design. Thanks.

Once I've managed to pulled out old tiles which is very labour intensive job wheel looks like brand new. Kittes are very happy.

Great advice pulled wheel in to sections soaked over night foam just pulled off used orange product to remove glue put all back together with new stainless steel bolts it came up like new very impressed with the service and advice
